Position Related
This position is responsible for managing the P&L for the Prepaid Segment (contributing more than 95% of the company’s total revenue). This involves taking complete responsibility for portfolio management, launching new promotions and products, deriving actionable insights from internal and external data sources, and developing & maintaining the value proposition.
There will be a sizable team under this position so effective team engagement, coaching, mentoring and management will be essential skills of the ideal candidate.

Typical Day at Work
· Responsible for the Prepaid Segment’s P&L.
· Executing and evolving (if needed) the segment value proposition (includes both Voice & Data).
· Development and execution of the marketing plans in line with the segment strategy.
· Ownership and tracking of prepaid commercial ambitions covering revenue, active base and usage/engagement (including both Voice & Data).
· Competition monitoring and analysis using Traffic Trends, Market Research and other internal data.
· Planning and executing initiatives (both product & pricing based) aimed at enhancing Voice & Data activity levels and revenue.
· Managing the prepaid subscriber base and churn by adopting timely proactive measures.
· Formulating and owning the segment’s micro-segmentation strategy and getting it executed by the CLM team.
· Coordinating with the Brand team for developing the ATL/Outdoor/Digital communication calendar.
· Coordinating with Product and Technology teams for getting new products / tariffs made.
· Gaining insights from as well as supporting the Circle organization in the execution of campaigns.
As the Segment Manager your typical day will involve looking at the traffic, revenue and subscriber trends as well as external data and taking remedial action if needed. This would involve identifying the problem/opportunity, looking at the possible returns from making this change (through data analysis), formulating a business case and getting it approved, getting the product/tariff implemented by the Product Development team and making & executing the promotional plan.
In case of ATL campaigns this would include briefing the Brand team on the objectives so they can in turn work on the ad concept.
Apart from this, all activities relating to customer engagement, revenue enhancement and dormancy revival will be initiated and managed from your team.
Eligibility Criteria
Education: MBA/MS Management Sciences ideally with an engineering/technology background and having sound understanding of the basics of telecommunication technology.
Work experience:
· Ideal candidate will have experience in marketing/strategy/new product development functions in technology based companies.
· Successful candidate will have previous experience in successfully leading large teams with Revenue /P&L responsibility
